Irene Bell (née Peart) quilting.  Irene’s mother was Jenny Peart (née) Liddell, who grew up at Byerhope and trained under Elizabeth Sanderson in the Allendale Quilt Stamping technique.

After marriage, Irene lived at Elmcroft and worked at Allendale Middle School as a dinner lady. She spent her last years living on Arnison Terrace.
