The Northumberland (Allendale) Rifle Volunteer Corps. Established 1860 – later to become the 1st Volunteer F Brigade Northumberland Fusiliers.

The shop, centre of picture, was Robsons which burnt down in 1910.

Isaacs Well, on the left of the picture, was later moved.
