Woolley - 1902

‘Daniel’s Peth’ actually refers to the the steep bank up to the cemetery from Bridge End.  Llewellyn Fairlamb (b.1876) told of icy winters where the horse-drawn hearse was unable to draw coffins up Daniel’s Peth.

This photograph is of further up that same road, between Wooley Park and Woolley.
