Studdon Bridge was built in 1900 partly funded by public subscription. This iron bridge was manufactured by G B Smith & Co., Roof and Bridge Builders. After 2000 it was closed to all but foot traffic.

Peckriding Bridge, a wooden footbridge has existed here (though repaired and replaced) since the early 1900s.
Workers at Crockton bridge, Keenley. This bridge is situated near Burntongues on the Thornley Gate – Whitfield road. The old bridge used to have a much steeper approach on either side until this work raised a new bridge significantly to the general level of the road on either side.
Allen Mill bridge (1828) and the road to Catton. With the smelt mill output more than doubling between 1800 to 1820, the existing poor roads became a major problem for getting the ore in and the lead pigs out. The footbridge below Peck Riding. This bridge features on many Edwardian postcards and the walk from Allendale Town to Peckriding to view the crags above the river was obviously a popular one.

The ‘Town Bridge’ over the River East Allen, below Allendale Town, was built in 1825.
Barnsley Bridge, rebuilt on this spot in 1922. The bridge was purchased from the Beaumont Mining Company by Hexham Rural Council who then dismantled it at its previous location – over the road between Allen Mill and Thornley Gate, where it had carried the lead flues – and positioned it here.
