Sipton mine continued working during the last war. The buildings were pulled down in 1950.
Hector Robson worked here in 1927 as a 16 year old maintenance lad.

I,d like to know who now owns Sipton mine. Did Sipton terraced houses, or the houses at the bottom of the lane belong to the mine for workers. Was the building between the mine and Sipton Terraced houses used or the shed in the field used for anything.
Did the Blackett Ords come from Whitfield. From what year to and from did the mine operate
