Allenheads - Circa 1915
Private Gilbert Graham of Allenheads served in the 30th Northumberland Fusiliers. Gilbert was born at Sipton Shield as one of ten siblings. He died at the Somme and is commemorated on the Thiepval monument.

This photo is of Gilbert Graham who was killed in action on 1 July 1916 during the battle of Albert in the Somme. he was the son of William & Mary Ann Pearson, The Post Office, Allenheads.
