Primitive Methodist chapel at Lanefoot, Catton. Built in 1882, it is still used today (2003). An earlier church, long since demolished, stood on a site at the opposite side of the road.

Wesleyan chapel, built in 1871. Converted to a dwelling in the 1970s or later. At one time the original J M Ridley used it as a storehouse, then it was owned by Alf Liddle and used as a barn. The building on the left was converted to a single dwelling in the 1960s; it was … read more
